They say time flies when you’re having fun and this weekend was no exception!! I had so much fun with my sister gallivanting around Toronto, laughing, hanging out and taking advantage of more than just an occasional photo op ;)!! Back after 6 years in the UK and I’d almost forgotten how much fun we have when we’re together.
I don’t know about you but I normally dress according to how I’m feeling in the morning and this weekend was no different. Saturday morning I had that sassy feeling but I didn’t want to go with anything too edgy or chic so I paired my favourite two looks, casual and dressy, and got this look.
Blue jeans are literally my favourite piece of clothing in the world – so simple yet so incredibly versatile and easy to style. Every girl has a pair of classic indigo blue jeans in their closest and a whimsical blouse of some sort…pair the two together and VOILA!!!
You can almost never go wrong when styling blue jeans they work with literally everything. I snagged these mom jeans from my favourite online store ASOS – the jeans fit close to the body, they are high waisted with functional pockets at the side. These ASOS jeans fit like a glove.
These jeans are in a UK size 28 W and 32 L; as many of you already know mom jeans have absolutely no stretch in them so I would recommend going up a size. Take me for example, normally I wear a UK 26/27 but went up a size for these bad boys and they fit amazingly! They are perfect for all shapes and sizes and are reasonably priced so don’t take my word for it, try them yourself.
The great thing about ASOS is they have fantastic customer service and a great returns policy so, if something doesn’t fit right, or doesn’t look like how you thought, or you’ve simply just changed your mind, just send it back with all tags attached within 30 days with the pre-paid returns label they provide and they will refund you asap. Easy Peasy!
The top I’m wearing is a satin-like top purchased from Stitches; it fits true to size and can be worn both tucked in and out. The material lays loose on the body and is sooo incredibly soft, so much so that even at the end of the day I didn’t want to take it off! It was purchased a size up because in my opinion, this style looks better when it fits looser.
The colour is a shade of champagne and would work great with different skin tones.
