One Aldwych Hotel – Review

Last month we had the pleasure of staying at the One Aldwych hotel in Covent Garden, London for our second wedding anniversary. This city is filled with beautiful hotels and amazing experiences, so when I say this hotel blew my mind…you know it was an out of this world experience!

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a warm smile and a wonderful gentleman who immediately took our bags and walked us over to the concierge desk where we proceeded to check-in. To kick off this perfect weekend we were told that, because it was our anniversary, we had been upgraded from the beautiful Deluxe room we had booked to the magnificent Junior suite…Mike and I were absolutely ecstatic and, to be honest, struggled to maintain our composure. We were escorted to our suite tucked away along a private corridor.

First impressions? OMG…WE’VE DIED AND GONE TO HOTEL HEAVEN! The suite was absolutely stunning. The floors we’re a soft colored Herringbone wood, that covered the entire first room living space. We had a gorgeous sitting room with furniture covered in soft blush and whites…every girl’s dream right!? To top it off the hotel staff had set up a romantic, complimentary set up of champagne and chocolate cake accompanied by a wonderful handwritten letter that said Happy Anniversary. To put it simply the quality of service was the best we had ever experienced and got our stay off to the perfect start.

The second room was the actual bedroom which was the size of a normal hotel room. It was soooo pretty, covered in soft blues and whites it was everything we could have dreamed of.

My absolute favourite place in the hotel was the bathroom…of which we had two!! One was a powder room in the front room and the second an en-suite and boy was it glorious. Covered in beautiful white marble from head to toe which a welcoming walk-in rainfall shower this was honestly the epitome of relaxation. In case you were wondering…yes we definitely took the fullest advantage of the bathtub and shower.

One of the best parts of staying at the One Aldwych is it is perfectly situated in Covent Garden. The nearest tube stations are a five-minute walk and it is across the street from household names such a Radio rooftop and Christophers. It’s the ideal location for tourists and London residents alike.

Overall our stay at the One Aldwych hotel was perfect in every single way. The staff was accommodating, polite and welcoming, the room was absolutely stunning and the amenities were everything you would ever want. This certainly was 5-star treatment and we definitely will be staying there again and again. I hope you enjoy the photos but, to be honest, the photos do not do it justice if you’re looking for a place to stay in London why not try the One Aldwych I promise you you won’t regret it.
