During this time of quarantine and isolation it’s been difficult to go out and about to fulfill those tasks we so often take for granted. Simple errands like grocery shopping have seemingly been complicated and impeded due to Covid-19, so when LiveFit Foods contacted us about trying their prepackaged meals Mike and I were super keen to try it out.
Before I continue, Mike and I have been trying LiveFit Foods for over a month now and want to provide you with our honest and unfiltered assessment of not only the food but the service as well. I can honestly tell you that we have been very impressed not only by the quality but also the customer service that we have encountered during this partnership.
Soo…Who are LiveFit Foods I hear you ask!? They are a Canadian owned company based out of London Ontario who deliver chef-prepared nutritious prepackaged meals straight to the comfort of your own home. The meals arrive quickly and are totally fresh / beautifully prepared.
On top of their everyday packages LiveFit have bespoke packages to meet a wide range of dietary requirements from the Keto diet through to Gluten free. What we found really interesting was that they also cater towards different fitness goals whether it be muscle gain or weight loss. From our research that is unique to the ready-meal market.
We aren’t massive breakfast people so we ordered mainly from the lunch and dinner menus which have a wide variety of delicious meals. Meal prep in our home is quite as struggle as Mike and I both lack creativity in the kitchen so we tend to be creatures of habit but LiveFit allowed us to chose from an array of meals, so we had different meals everyday which was a huge bonus for us.
Another thing we were impressed with were the portion sizes. I’ll admit I was a bit sceptical in the beginning as from experience most prepackaged meals end up being enough food for a small child which then leads me to eating more which completely defeats the purpose of eating a balanced portion. The sizes were enough to fill my husband who is 6’0 and approximately 185 lbs, which was perfect. If you want to opt for something smaller or with less filling they do provide their value packs which are a fraction of the cost with slightly reduced portion sizes / protein. In addition they have now released family packs so you and the family can enjoy a meal together how fab is that!
As I’ve touched upon, the great thing about these meals are they come freshly prepared. If you refrigerate the meals upon receiving them you must consume them within 5 days alternatively you can freeze them and have them in the freezer for up to 90 days. The packaging is freezable and microwaveable as well as suitable for oven cooking, which is absolutely fantastic!
For those of you who aren’t interested in prepackaged meals they now deliver groceries as well so LiveFit offer a little something for everyone! This is perfect considering the climate of todays situation with Covid-19. Your groceries are delivered straight to your door, safely.
